It is that time of the year again when all minds become clouded with thoughts of $$$ for the Back To School needs. The young kids with their lets go get everything on my list, new clothes, backpack, etc. The older ones with the must have trend setting gear. And the college students that have to have just about everything since they have that new sense of independence. If staying home for a year they have basic needs ($), if they are in a dorm more needs ($$), and if they have move into their own place even more needs ($$$). Like the cost of the College classes, Books, and Parking isn't enough to pay.

Hi, to everyone in the Thoughts group. I am new to the blog world and will probably make numerous mistakes along the way. So, please forgive me and assist me if you are willing. I was just very upset about what happened to one of my sons and he said go blog it as a way for me to vent. How can a student be denied financial aid because they do not have two years of tax filings as an independent??? He is now shelling out over $700.00 for his summer courses and who know how much the rest of the year will cost. While one of his younger brothers is applied as a dependent from the same group and was granted enough money to along with a school grant pay for his entire first year of courses and books. What incentive is there for our children to move out and become independent with financial aid not helping and the cost of college being so high?
